Note that the U.S. fluid ounce is slightly larger than the Imperial fluid ounce, so the ratio of a U.S. pint to an Imperial pint is 83.4% instead of 80.0%.

18 oz. may be more than a pint or less than a pint, but it is definitely not equal.
