Windows is similar to the Mac OS as Microsoft licensed certain aspects of the original Mac OS to include in their Windows software and "borrowed" many other ideas which caused a long running dispute between Apple and Microsoft. Apple provides a guide to help people switching from Windows to a Mac which lists some of the Mac equivalents to Windows operations. (See links below)
A Macintosh is a computer. Windows is an operating system. A Macintosh can run the Windows operating system. The question is meaningless.
Windows is an operating system developed by Microsoft. Apple makes Macintosh computers that run Apple's own Mac OS X operating system but can also run the Windows operating system.

You cannot, you will need an operating system such as these: Windows XP, windows vista, and Macintosh OS X
Yes it is an Operating System similar to Windows but it is a multi user
Personal computer line developed and distributed by Apple, Inc. Macintosh computers have a specialized operating system, which differentiates from Microsoft's Windows operating system. McIntosh is also a last name and a kind of apple.
A standard Apple Macintosh computer uses Apple's own operating system called Mac OS X. You can install Microsoft's Windows operating system (or many other operating systems) onto a Mac with an Intel processor if it is required. Installing the Windows system will leave your Mac vulnerable to the thousands of Windows viruses that do not affect Mac OS X.

It's called Operating System. Windows Vista, Windows XP, Macintosh, Linux, etc. are called Operating Systems.
Windows software works in Windows only, Macintosh software works on a Macintosh only. However, you can install a windows operating system on the new macs, so in that scenario you can indeed run Windows software on a Mac. Of course, then it's only a Macintosh in body and not in spirit so-to-speak. In other words, the hardware is a Macintosh but since you are running the Windows operating system on it, it's the same as a Dell, or HP, or Gateway, etc. Fortunately however, you can switch back to your apple operating system and the world is right once again. There is Microsoft software called Virtual PC that will allow you to run both Windows within the Mac OS at the same time on an older model Apple Macintosh.
