The answer is both yes and no. If the calculations are rather simple, you know certain shortcuts, you know how to work it out on paper, or you are good at doing it in your head, then no, you don't need a computer or calculator. Yet you would need one for more complex problems, even when you are working things out on paper.

But then again, if you consider the fact that your brain is a computer, you would have to say yes. You would need at least the "computer" that resides in you skull to work the problems.

Why computer called computer not calculator?

A calculator requires that a human tell it each operation step by step as the problem is being solved, every time a problem is being solved.A computer performs the steps needed to solve the problem automatically without human supervision, once those steps had been specified (i.e. computer program) by humans.

Is the abacus an old version of the calculator?

Yes, abacuses (or is it abaci?) were used to calculate simple maths problems.

Is formula TELL YOUR COMPUTER TO TAKE calculation FROM A CELL?

Yes, in spreadsheet applications like Excel or Google Sheets, you can use a formula to instruct the program to perform calculations based on the values in specific cells. For example, using the formula =A1 + B1 tells the computer to add the values in cells A1 and B1. You can reference any cell or range of cells to perform various calculations as needed.

How do you perform buffer calculations effectively?

To perform buffer calculations effectively, you need to first determine the pH range needed for your solution. Then, choose a weak acid and its conjugate base with a pKa close to your desired pH. Calculate the amount of each component needed using the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation. Finally, mix the components in the correct proportions to create the buffer solution.

Which was the most popular first generation computer?

The most popular first-generation computer was the ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer), developed in the United States in the 1940s. It was one of the earliest electronic general-purpose computers and was used primarily for complex calculations, such as those needed for artillery trajectory tables. Although it occupied a large physical space and consumed significant power, its ability to perform calculations at unprecedented speeds marked a significant milestone in computing history.

Where can a calculator tool be found in medisoft?

In Medisoft, the calculator tool can typically be found within the billing or claims sections of the program. You can access it by navigating to the appropriate area where calculations are needed, such as patient billing or insurance claims. How did the first computer came into existence?

The first electronic digital computer, known as the ENIAC, was developed during World War II by John Mauchly and J. Presper Eckert in the United States. It was completed in 1945 and was used by the military to perform complex calculations that would aid in the war effort. ENIAC was a groundbreaking development that paved the way for the modern computer age.

Why are brackets needed to square negative numbers on a calculator?

It is due to the way in which a calculator does its calculations. Most calculators follow BIDMAS which stands for; brackets, indices, division, multiplication, addition and subtraction. Since indices are calculated before subtraction, the number will be squared before it is recognised as being negative.

How much does a calorie calculator cost?

Calorie calculators could be brought somewhere from $5 to $50 in selected stores. However, it's free and more helpful to just download a calorie calculator from the computer and use it whenever needed the next time a person logs on to the computer. That way it would be easier to store the information from the calculator on a word document and save it for future references.
