912 kb this depends on who you are trying to mail to - it is better if you can get it down to 6kb or 3kb and when the person gets it they can expand it - it will go faster - the person on the other end should have some type of picture management program but for my thoughts 912kb would back your system up and basically make it stop responding - we haven't caught up with the space shuttle yet

Email attachments will not send?

This is a very general question so it is hard to answer. Depending on what your attachments are and what email you are using there may be a size limit. If the file size is to large(ex:sending pictures, if it is too large you wont be able to send it you will need to resize the image)it wont send.

What is feature to reduce a file size that may be too long for an email attachment?

Compress

How can you reduce the large size of a word document?

if there are any pictures, select one, right click and there should be an option to minimise the quality of the image. otherwise, you could compress the file by using a zip file compressor software such as winzip, which makes the file smaller and available to send over the internet with email (if is too large for it in the first place)

How can a file be sent by email?

Solution 1: Zip the file and attach it to your email Solution 2: Use an email attachment sending service. This gets round the problem of large or multiple mp3 files (or any file types for that matter) which you won't be able to send using your usual email system even when zipped as they will be too large for a standard mail server to process (standard limits are between 10 and 20Mb). Email attachment sending services allow you to send an email as normal, they remove the attachment and put it on their servers and your recipient receives your original email message with a link to download the file. This avoids emails bouncing or disappearing because they are too large because the large file sending service deals with the large part of your email- the attachment. There are a variety of services available with a range of maximum file sizes you can send through them.

Why shouldn't you send large files using email?

Because if the file is too large, it will take a long time to send and a long time for the recipient to download. 1GB file at 20kb/s takes about 15 minutes. Also, some email services don't allow attachments above a certain size. If this is the case, upload your file at a site such as http://www.transferbigfiles.com/ and send the download address to the recipient.

What feature do you use to reduce a file that may be too large for an email attachment?

You could try to compress the file into an executable ZIP file. However, there have been some compatibility issues concerning ZIP files with some email providers. If the file cannot be 'split up' and sent via multiple emails, then another option would be to upload the file to a file-sharing website, and send the intended receiver the link to download it.One can send a file that is too large for email by first uploading the file onto a file hosting service site like Mediafire. The link of the file can then be shared and sent.if the file is too large then use Winrar program to compress the file (use highest setting of compression within program). If it's still too big to send out, then use the application's feature of breaking it down into parts (the feature is "Split into Volumes, in bytes". Enter the number of bytes such as 2,000,000 bytes (2MB). Winrar is a good program... and best of all it's FREE. Once you've sent the parts (either Zip or RAR format), the recipient of the attachments must download Winrar also to put the parts together and unzip/unrar it.

In photoshop what is a psb?

When a photoshop file is too large (in bytes) to save as a regular .psd, it will be saved as a Photoshop Large Document Format or a .psb file.

How do you make a windows file.download to email?

You either insert the file, Go to insert them browse to the file and select it. or if it is a word or picture file you can open it and then copy and paste it onto the email. remember however that a picture on an email needs to be done in the correct format like JPG or Giff so as not to be too big to send.

How do you send something as an attachment?

I assume you mean "How do you send large attachments over the internet?" I have sent items using Microsoft Word when they have been too large for my regular program. Then there is fax.

What are the recommended settings for a page file?

Can large files like .avi files be WINZIPped small enough to be emailed?

Yes, for some short movies or mvs, you can. Just convert the avi to mpg or mpeg, which will make it a much smaller file. However, if it's a larger file then you will run into difficulties when trying to email as email service providers typically have an email attachment size limit of between 10Mb (Hotmail) and 25Mb (Yahoo Mail). If your file(s) is too big, either your email server will object and will refuse to send the email or your recipient(s) mail servers will object and will bounce the email back to you. A simpler solution is to use a large file sending service They allow you to send large files of any sort (YouSendIt has a limit of 2Gb, Tonsho 5Gb). The basic idea is that you write an email to your desired recipients (either online or you can also do it through your usual email program), attach the files you want to transfer and hit send. They then remove the attached files, place them on their secure servers and then the recipient is sent a link to download the files in an email with your original message. They just need to click on the link to download the file(s).
