Yes and No. When Ice is filled with Air it becomes Transclucent, when Ice melts, slowly the Air reduces and it becomes Transparent.
Air itself is not a material; it is a mixture of gases. However, the main component of air, nitrogen and oxygen, are both transparent to visible light. This is why we can see through air with our eyes.
Air is a transparent medium, because you can see through it fully. Opaque mediums are those that you cannot see through at all.
You cannot see air. Light passes through it.
