Check the wires/cables. Are they plugged completely/correctly into the back of the printer/computer and wall? Check for the program. Has the setup been installed correctly into the computer? To check this, click on your 'Start button'; now find 'Control Panel' and click that. This will bring up a window, look for one on here similar to 'Programs and Features' or 'Add/Uninstall Programs'. Click twice on that and you will see a list of all of the programs that are loaded into your computer. Search for your printer name. If the printer is on the list then close all of your windows and reinstall the printer disk. Maybe it was not installed completely.
to find drivers for printers, go to the manufacturer's site and search for the products & drivers downloads. you need to have Printer's make & model number and onlineinternet connection in which you need to install the printer. if internet is not available on the computer where the printer is to be installed, the driver downloads can be saved and stored from any net connected computers. once you have the downloaded drivers files, connect the printer to the computer where to be installed and switch on the power. if New hardware found task window comes can you can just ignore that. by running the drivers files donloaded, the installation gets completed.
You need to enable "file and printer sharing" in the windows firewall settings, after that you have to share the printer. Check and write down/remember the computer ip address where the printer has been connected to. After that in your laptop/desktop Start->Run->//ip_address (for instance, \\192.168.11.3). When the window shows up double click on the printer, confirm to install the driver.
it is compatible
To find a window crank extension that is compatible with your window, measure the size and shape of your existing window crank and search for extensions that match those specifications. You can also consult with a hardware store or window manufacturer for assistance in finding the right extension for your window.
You need to turn the sharing option on in the printer properties and add the group Everyone to allow printing (or create an account for another computer, but because you have only two computers in your local network you might not need to do it). After that you have to find out the computers with the printer attached ip: Start->Run->cmd, in the cmd window type ipconfig and press Retutn/Enter. After you know the ip address, switch to the computer wich doesn't have a printer and again Start->Run->\\ip_address (for instance \\192.168.1.3). And press Enter, after you will see shared folder and the printer which you want to connect to. Double click on it, it will ask you to install drivers for the printer, you have agree. After this you can use printer on both computers. In order everything works properly you have to change firewall options (windows firewall and dedicated you have one). You have to check the option File and Printer Sharing.

on windows xp to hook up wifi printing, go to the computer that has the printer hooked up to it. Go to printers and faxes on that computer. This can be accessed through the control panel. you should be able to find that printer name. when you find it, right click on it and go into sharing. a window will pop up and you have to check share this printer. you can name it whatever you want but just call it Lexmark S305. then press ok. then go to the computer that doesn't have the printer set up an go into the printers and faxes again. This time you have to add a printer. The add printer wizard should pop up. you have to select a network printer, or a printer attached to another printer. Then click next. Select browse for a printer. Then press next. you should be able to find the other computers name and the printer will be listed there. click on it and press next. It will then ask if you want it to be your default printer. Press yes. Then press finish. if you now print something, it will print off wifi.
