The iPad and iPhone are two devices with similar functions. Each is better in some ways than the other. Small size can be an advantage. Large size can be an advantage.

NO, Apple just intises you to buy things, but they are not neccesarily better. I have a Blackberry Tablet, it is fine and like 300$ cheaper. They both have apps, for free and to buy, go to a technical store for compare.

A ipad is a tablet. The only thing is that it is apples version of a tablet. If you are asking for a opinion of if you should get them then I will tell you that I have a personal bias against apple because their products break too easily for me.

Well it depends what you are looking for, really. I have an iPad which is really good for apps and and surfing the web, plus it's easy to type on and easy to use. iPhones are just as good really, they are a small version of iPads and they are a phone as well, they have apps and are easy to use and easy to type on. It just depends whether you want a phone or something to surf the web with really? The prices vary quite a lot as well, an iPad 1 is about £400 but it varies, an iPad 2 is £700 but it varies (i have an iPad 2). Whereas an iPhone 1 is about £100 but it's not very good, and an iPhone 2 is about the same price, iPhone 3GS is £300, iPhone 4 £400, and iPhone 4S £600. If you are looking at getting a cheap iPhone if I were you I would get an iPhone 3GS because iPhone 4S (most recent) is really expensive, don't get an iPhone 4 if you want 3G because they are really good apart from the fact that they don't have 3G. It's your decision what you get, I'm just trying to help you.

So to your question, they are just the same really, it just depends what you want to buy.

ipad can better than a laptop. ipad is like a mini laptop version with less functions, ipads can also not open many websites using the Internet but on the other hand there are some apps* which can be downloaded on an ipad but not on a laptop .laptops can also store more information than an ipad.

They are used for different things. A macbook is used for more work related things whereas an ipad is used for more casual, entertainment purposes. You can however get pages, numbers and keynote on the ipad but it is quite hard to use and expensive. If you are looking to use one for work definitely get a macbook, an ipad would be out of place, unless you like doing work on a touchscreen. Ipads are, however, quite fun to use and are for entertainment.

iPad maybe a substitute for a computer in term of web browsing speed, but iPhone is more portable and lighter.
