No of course not. Most people do delete them as they are no use. I defiantly have.. to create more room on the computer. So go for it mate.

In uploading the pictures, there is an "options" button. Click on that and choose to "always erase after importing". The computer will erase the memory for you.
To erase pics from an iPod touch all you have to do I'd erase them from the directory on the computer from which you uploaded them to your iPod and they will be erased from the iPod at next sync.

you can delete them from the handset. Go into your photos and click edit, select the pictures you want to delete, then tap delete.
If you format the SD card all of your pictures will be erased. If you can view your photos in the Camera then the problem may be with your computer.
Here's a guess: Card Full. If your card is full, then the camera won't take any more pictures. You need to upload the pictures to your computer, and then you erase your card.

Backspace or Del will erase text. Backspace will erase in < direction. Del or Delete will erase in > direction.
