Coated bullets are diffcult the most common is Accelerator ammunition and it is diffcult to trace.

Acc Ammo has a plastic or nylon casing around a small projectile like a .224 with a .30 casing and is designed to be fired from a .308. once fired the rifling groves are on the sabot (plastic) not the actual projectile.

these were once a common hunting load for the po boy hunter wanting a longer range gun with out actually having to buy one however with the easier affordability of guns and with growing forensic issues these bullets started to disappear. they are still available today but you would have to do your own ammo loading.

THE PROBLEM: if you are going to try to kill some body with one of these you have to be close as these are highly inaccurate.
