Yes, but it depends on what/why you are asking. There are many utilities such as Partition Magic that you can run to reformat/repartition or scan a hard disk to retrieve data from previous formats/partitions, etc. Undelete and ER Lite are two data recovery utilities that I have used that work, if that is what you are asking. The previous data is still available assuming it hasn't been overwritten or destroyed using other more secure means. If your question can be more direct, a more direct answer can be given. Hope this helps.
No, formatting a disk erases all the information permanently
A low-level partition is a disk partition that has been low-level formatted. This means formatting in such a way that the data once stored in the partition is completely irrecoverable.
When you open Excel, the cells have formatting built into them through styles. So when you put data in, a font, font size, colour, alignment and number formatting are already set as part of that style. The Normal style defines what way those aspects have been formatted.
It allows you to see how a document has been formatted and lets you spot any errors, such as spacing, where the Enter key has been hit and so on. You can then fix the errors and improve the layout of the document.
CD-R can't be formatted. (erased)
A formatted document is one where the style has been formatted in some way, an unformatted one is as you type it.
It shows the different formatting that has been used in a document.
Probably not. When the card was formatted it was likely to lose absolutely everything on the card.
If you format the SD card all of your pictures will be erased. If you can view your photos in the Camera then the problem may be with your computer.
Disc = DVD or CD or Hard disk?? If its a DVD or CD then the chances are it has been formatted incorrectly. If its a hard disk then it probably has not been partitioned correctly or the disk partition is damaged, or the drive has not been formatted correctly
A CD/DVD, visual. As the CD is filled a brighter silver band radiates from the center. The thicker the band the greater the use. Floppy or hard drive, check the formatting. For pre-formatted drives there are diagnostic tests that can determine previous use.
No. Operating systems need the system to be formatted / partitioned in order to properly arrange and store their data on the disk.
