Kindle by a million miles
Probably not. The Kindle is made by Amazon, and Amazon and Sony are two different companies.
Yes, the ipad, sony reader, and the nook. they are the largest
yes. The SONY READER and the NOOK
The Sony Reader Digital Book is an e-reader tablet device similar to the Kindle. One can read books or magazines on them. They can be purchased from Amazon.
The most raved about digital book reader would have to be the Kindle. It has some amazing features, such as the anti-sun glare which allows you to read the Kindle even when the sun it out. It also has a 4.3" screen good for reading.
Yes the sony reader but i would not suggest it it results in painful eyestrain but you can get an attachable reading light for the kindle
Kindle
To my knowledge, you can not. The Sony reader allows six copies, including a backup inside your P.C., but the kindle is direct and none transferable from what I have read on the book. Books are automatically archived on Amazon's servers by removing the book from the Kindle.
The Amazon Kindle is better in some ways and the sony ereader is better in others. It really depends on which sony ereader you are dealing with. The PRS-700 BC is more advanced with touch screen, landscape view, LCD light for night reader which are some of the things the Kindle does not offer. On the other hand, the Amazon Kindle offers wireless delivery of books in under one minue, access to over 300,000 books at the Kindle store, plus magazines, newspapers, and blogs. The sony reader offers only 160,000 books from the sony store. For more information, look at the comparison given in the links.Hope this helps.:)I personally preffer the kindle over the sony ereader. Even though it doesn't have a touch screen or colour (they are making ones with colour right now) you can listen to music and there is more of a variety with books and you can go on websites.
A sony digital reader is 198.00 dollars. If you want the sony digital reader, touch screen it is 298.00 dollars.
Prices range from free to several dollars. I love my Sony and get much of my reading material from Gutenberg press, which has the book for free. You can go to the ebook store at Sony to see their lineup. I have not yet tried to get a Kindle book because they all are expensive compared to Sony.
it is a digital book reader
