Of course. That's the reason they make and sell it.
Potting soil does not grow. It is not a plant, but a medium in which to grow plants.
I think the best type of potting soil is Miracle Grow, because I have grown many plants with it and those plants include: daises (yes, believe it or not, I grew daises), roses (which smell the loveliest in the fall), and many more. I like this potting soil because these flowers, and also other ones, are in perfect condition right now. So if you're trying to grow the perfect plant I would choose Miracle Grow as my fertilizer. It really works!

This depends on the species of plant. Some plants require different nutrients than others. Your best bet would be to plant in regular soil, and then after some research you can till the soil with the required nutrients.

Yes. Growing plants is what potting soil is for.
Some plants grow better in certain types of potting soil
Yes, daffodils can grow very well in Miracle Grow. The Daffodils that are grown in Miracle Grow are much larger than others.
This is not a simple OR an exact answer as each BRAND OF POTTING MIX has its own formula. I use SCOTTS or MIRACLE GROW. They each weigh differently per weight/measure.
Don't store potting soil in an airtight container because potting soil is moist. The potting soil will grow mold if you do this. Just keep it in the bag you bought it in and tie the top shut.
