If a newer version of your BIOS exists and you computer dose not have an operating system installed yet Is there another method of performing this upgrade that you might employ?

Many motherboards still have BIOS updates available as MS-DOS programs. These can be run from an MS-DOS boot disk without a permanent operating system installed. Alternatively, the motherboard may support a "recovery mode" that flashes the BIOS from an image stored on a floppy disk. This is normally used to recover from a bad flash but can also be used to update.

What is ii.h.ah in union regs function in C programming?

I guess it is a char or an unsigned char. When calling MS-DOS/BIOS interrupts, it represents the value of the AH register.

You can't start your computer with MS home disk It will just boot to A drive which does not have CD driver on it.?

You need to change your BIOS boot settings to boot from CD/DVD not floppy.

When you upgrade from Ms Office 2000 to Ms office 2003 will your outlook folders including inbox remain intact?

If updating proces went smooth you will have all your folders with information inside after update is over. But it happens sometimes that update might damage your information (letters and so on) after that you will not able to use it. What you have to do is to backup all your information before you start update, and after that install MS Office 2003. If everything went smooth it's better for you, you don't need to do restore data and you have backup. If it didn't you have some work to do to to restore your data, but you have backup.

Psp could read MSand the psp has the ms image below every sectioneven though theres files in the MS it replies with there are no 'folder name files in here'.i can't see downgrade or upgrade patch?

Your question is very confusing to read, but I'll give it a shot. First the patch needs to be placed in the folder GAME, in the folder PSP, on your MS. You will need to create a folder called UPDATE and that's where you put it. In the sections on the menu, you need to goto Games icon and then the Memory Stick icon, and you should see the update in there. The MS icons only search in their respective folders, the MS icon in games will look in the MS:\PSP\GAME folder for files. The MS icon in music will look in the MUSIC folder on your MS for MP3 files. The MS icon in the video folder will look in the VIDEO folder on your MS. Same thing with the one in pictures.

What is video shadowing of computer?

Video shadowing is when a video card's BIOS is copied to system RAM for faster access. That was mostly only useful under real-mode operating systems such as MS-DOS, and was mainly only an option on older computers. The bus was quite a bottleneck, and ROM routines are slower than running them out of RAM, so it was faster to use a copy of the routines out of RAM. On boot, the system BIOS would create a copy of the video BIOS in RAM, protect that area of memory, and update the vector tables to point to it.While such an option might make a computer seem to boot faster in some cases, shadowing the video BIOS didn't help under Windows. Windows requires drivers and the drivers are loaded into RAM, while the BIOS routines remained untouched. So if you didn't have much memory or conflicts were likely, you'd likely want to leave the shadowing disabled.

Why does your PC read your 2x1GB of ram as 2x512MB?

I want to expand on the question; It won't let me put more details; The mainboard is an MS-7005 (651M) [NOT M-L or other variant.]The ram is defiantly compatible thanks to Crucial.Type: DDRCapacity: 1GBSpeed: DDR 400Mhz PC3200Configuration: 128 x 64Density: HIGH DENSITYPins: 184Pin ECC/Registered: No/NoCAS Latency: CL3Voltage : 2.5VFor some reason; it reads as 2x 512MB sticks installed, not 2x 1GB.I did wonder if I needed a BIOS update but I can't find the correct BIOS files in order to flash it.Any help would be grand.

MS SQL stands for Microsoft SQL. SQL, or Structured Query Language, is a way to extract information from a database, as well as to update, add and remove information from a database. Companies with databases of customers or purchase records may use MS SQL hosting to keep track of their business activities or customer relationships.

How good is Clear for online gaming?

See the Clear Ping and Road Runner Ping from below. I have both currently and was able to plug in and test both on the same comp within a minute of each other. However Road Runner Seems to vary between awesome and absolute crap. I have seen Road Runner be as bad as 200+ ping times reliably for days. Then some time later it magically fixes itself and no I do not torrent. I have had technicians out to my home 8 separate times. If I wasn't a hardcore gamer I would definitely choose clear over road runner. What is the basic Input output system is stored on?

The BIOS is boot firmware, designed to be the first code run by a PC when powered on. The initial function of the BIOS is to identify, test, and initialize system devices such as the Display Card, HDD, FDD and other hardware. The BIOS sets the machine hardware into a known state, so that Software stored on compatible media can be loaded, executed, and given control of the PC. This process is known as booting, or booting up, which is short for Bootstrapping. The role of BIOS has changed over time; today BIOS is a legacy system, superseded by the more complex Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI), but BIOS remains in widespread use, and EFI booting has only been supported in x86 Windows since 2008. BIOS is primarily associated with the 16-bit and 32-bit architecture eras (x86-32), while EFI is used for some 32-bit and most 64-bit architectures. Today BIOS is primarily used for booting a system, and for certain additional features such as power management (ACPI), but otherwise is not used during the ordinary running of a system, while in early systems (particularly in the 16-bit era), BIOS was used for hardware access - operating systems (notably MS-DOS) would call the BIOS rather than directly accessing the hardware. In the 32-bit era and later, operating systems instead generally directly accessed the hardware using their own device drivers.
