My pet mouse was brown with a little black patch now its turning black is this normal?
As an owner of five mice, I am quite sure it is. It's a state of change their body goes through. The fur on my mice usually changes in winter. It doesn't reallymatter when. It's no big deal. If they lose fur, that is a problem. I am quite sure--actually positive that the answer is no. No, there is nothing wrong, yes it is normal. When it's a different season, your hair color changes, so why shouldn't rats. As a veteranerian and a pet mouse owner, trust me. No worries. It's almost like a state of puberty that is seasonal. If it's not seasonal, then their pelt is changing and their just getting old.
