Installation's Office of Emergency Management
Installation's Office of Emergency Management
The blank at your installation is comprised of four functions: risk assessment, risk mitigation, risk communication, and risk monitoring. These functions work together to create a comprehensive risk management program that aids in identifying potential threats and hazards, developing strategic plans, and allocating resources effectively. By integrating these components, the installation can enhance its preparedness and resilience against various risks.
The policy that directs and assigns responsibilities for developing, implementing, and sustaining installation emergency management programs at Department of Defense (DoD) installations worldwide is outlined in DoD Instruction 6055.17, "DoD Installation Emergency Management (IEM) Program." This policy provides guidance on emergency planning, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts to ensure the safety and welfare of personnel, property, and mission continuity during emergencies or disasters.
The mis-management of resources is a major factor of why developing countries are lagging behind. Management is thus very important in the progress of developing countries.
