CPU, RAM, Motherboard
Hardware, Software and data are the main components of a computer. Everything else in a computer is for the most part nonessential.
A computer consists two main parts: 1) Hardware 2) Software Hardware is material stuff, chips, coolers, monitor, Hard drive.... Software is just some programs that is writen in computer hardware. Software manages how hardware should work.

Computers have hardware (the parts the computer is made up from) and software (programs)
1: hardware 2:software
The two main components of an operating system are the kernel and the applications. The kernel maintains basic control over the computer's hardware. The kernel contains the CPU, memory and devices. Applications include the network, the user interface and security.
This would be called the Internet Backbone
Computers three main components are CPU,ALU,GPU. CPU:Central processing unit ALU:Arithematic Logic Unit GPU:Graphics Processing Unit
Hardware: Physical components such as computers, servers, and networking devices. Software: Programs and applications that provide functionality for users. Data: Information that is stored, processed, and utilized by the system. Procedures: Guidelines and instructions for users on how to interact with the system. People: Individuals who manage, operate, and use the information system.
Windows 7 is an operating system and a tower is the section of hardware that contains all of the main components to run your computer. Buying a tower from Wal-mart, Target, Best Buy, etc. normally states on the box whether or not an operating system is included.
Well, inside the computer, the three main hardware components are RAM (Random Access Memory), The CPU (Central Processing Unit) and the Power Supply (Battery). On the outside, you have the monitor (Screen), keyboard (typey thing) and mouse (What you move the cursor with).
Neither. A computer contains both input and output devices. Many modern input and output devices contain embedded computers, that interface between the main computer and the actual input or output hardware of the device.
