Inkjet printing is a non-impact process. Ink will be emitted from the nozzles when they pass over the paper. Visualizing the operation of an inkjet printer is easy. liquid ink will be squirted on paper to build an image. The page will be scanned in horizontal strips by the printhead. The printer's motor assembly helps it to move from left to right and the paper will be rolled into vertical steps. A Piezo crystal is placed at the rear of the ink reservoir. Current will be applied to the Piezo element whenever a dot is required. This will force a drop of ink out of the nozzle. This method will have better control over the size and shape of the released ink droplet. There is no heating or cooling of ink as in thermal technology. This saves time and this method gives us the freedom to develop different types of ink.
