An advantage of a thermal printer is printing speed and quality. A disadvantage of a thermal printer is the higher cost.

When you do that you get a photocopier.
A thermal printer needs specially treated paper on which to burn data and images. Such a printer is more likely to be used to print labels on a roll, or in cash registers, but not all ways. Once warmed up, a thermal printer produces good results and is efficient. Saving on expensive toner and ink cartridges is a bonus. A thermal printer can (as far as I am aware) only able to burn black characters and graphics, though coloured paper could be used to give a coloured effect.
A laser or inkjet printer is suitable for plain label printing. Both have advantages and disadvantages.
Thermal Printer
Advantages: Prints really fast, shiny (beautiful) colors. Disadvantages: Runs out of ink quite easily, ink is expensive. (That's just some i can think of at the moment.)
Thermal Printer
In my opinion, there are no advantages of a daisy wheel printer. I found them noisy, slow, and having to change the wheel to use a different font was a bind.
i think yes
A Thermal printers use print wires that are heated in the thermal printer so that they can burn dot patterns into special thermal paper, while thermal wax printers use thermal printhead to melt dots of wax-based ink from the transfer ribbon onto the paper. When the wax is cool, it is permanently attached to the page. Unlike direct thermal printer, the thermal wax printer does not require special paper to print on.
