Where is bhubaneswar?
Bhubaneswar(būbänĕ'swär) , city (1991 pop. 411,542), capital of Orissa state, E central India, on a distributary of the Mahanadi River. A small town before it became the capital in 1948, it is a modern administrative center and the seat of Utkal Univ. and Orissa Univ. of Agriculture and Technology. There are rolling mills and wire-cable works; the city has an airport. Settlements date back to the reign of Asoka (3d cent. B.C.). The capital of the Kesaris dynasty of Orissa (5th-10th cent.) was here. Bhubaneswar, a religious center, once had c.7,000 shrines around its sacred lake; the remains of c.500 still stand, displaying many styles of Hindu and Buddhist art and architecture. How industrilization helps for the rural development?
To my understanding, industrialization and growth of Factories are two different things. But generally people consider growth of factories as industrialization. There are two types of factories a) Factories that consumes raw materials which can not be regenerated b)Factories that consumes raw materials which can be regenerated. In India the first category of Factories are more in number than the second category. The first category of Factories not only use the state resources at throw away price but also utilize other ancillary resources with minimal cost. Some time they abuse the state resources and the common man suffers. For example Land, water and electricity. Many politicians believe that factories generate employment for the local people which is a blatant lie. Most native indians are unskilled and they are often appointed as labourers in the factory under contract labour having no job or social security. Most skilled persons are often hired from outside the state. Most factories do not reveal their true employment position. In paper they show more where as in reality it is less. For example "Satyam" indicated extra 50000 employment in paper. Besides, many of the private factory owners do utilise the state resource but either evade taxes or delay the payment of taxes. What is pathetic is they take the profit to a foreign bank both illegally or legally to benefit foreigners . These people have no national commitment rather act as anti-national. At times, some factory owners play political games with the politicians by funding the terrorist. However it is a fact that when a factory is established in a rural area the land owners become rich over night; basic amenities like water, electricity comes, communication facilities are provided as the spill over. When the Application Form for orissa jee 2009 will be available?
The Orissa Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) for the year 2008 - 2009, Orissa shall be held on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at selected centres for admission to the first year Degree courses in Engineering/Technology, Architecture, Hotel Management and Catering Technology (HMCT), MBBS/BDS, Pharmacy, MCA, MBA and to the Lateral Entry of State candidates to third semester of degree courses in Engineering/ Technology, HMCT and Pharmacy. ELIGIBILITY (A) For admission to First Year Bachelor programme in (i) Engineering/Technology : Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and one from Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biology/Biotechnology or pass in 10+3 diploma course in engineering including those having less than 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE&T, Orissa or equivalent. (ii) Architecture: For admission to Architecture candidates are to secure minimum 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 Examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent, with Mathematics as one of the subject OR 10+3 years diploma with 50 % marks in aggregate OR International baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with mathematics as compulsory subject of examination. All the candidates seeking admission to B.Arch course shall have valid NATA score prescribed by Council of Architecture(minimum 80 out of 200) (iii) Pharmacy : Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry and one from Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer Science /Biology or pass in 10+3 diploma course in Pharmacy including those having less than 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE&T, Orissa or equivalent. (iv) Hotel Management and Catering Technology: Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination in Arts/ Commerce/ Science from CHSE, Orissa or equivalent. (v) MBBS/BDS : Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50% marks in aggregate in these subjects taken together (40% for SC/ST) with age between 17 and 25 years as on 31.12.2008 (relaxable up to 3 years for SC/ST candidates). (B) For admission to First Year Masters programme in(i)Computer Application (MCA): Pass or appearing in 2008 three years Bachelor's Degree examination in any discipline with pass in Mathematics at 10+2 level or in +3 level. (ii)Business Administration (MBA): Pass or appearing in 2008 three years Bachelor's Degree examination in any discipline from a UGC recognized University. (C) For admission to Second Year Engineering/Technology, Pharmacy and HMCT under Lateral EntryPass or appearing in 3 years diploma course in Engineering, Pharmacy, and HMCT with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE&VT, Orissa or equivalent.
