What does the i in iPod mean?

Apple added the "I" to the Imac to stress the computers ease and capabilities when working with the internet. Like kleenex, the name just really caught on so now they put the I on non-computer products as well The I in ipod, imac, ipad, itunes etc... means INTEL!! "I" in ipod actually means interim". Remember that around 1985, Steve Jobs got fired as CEO of Apple. Thinking how can you get fired from a company you started, Steve Jobs decided to work on his career on a different company. (He was with NEXT and PIXAR). After more than 10 years he decided to go back to Apple as CEO but Apple had him as interim CEO. iCEO for short. Thinking that this is an insult to him, being an iCEO to a company he founded, he ordered to put the letter "i' on every product, OS, hardware, computer etc that Apple releases. That explains the names of imac, ipad, itunes,iOS etc .

Who sells more computers apple or windows?

Measuring the market share will depend upon what market you are looking at and how you are measuring the size of the share. Bearing in mind that Windows is an operating system that can be run on an Apple computer and Apple sells both hardware and software:

One way is to monitor web browsing to see the percentages of different computer platforms. Such a measure gives the Mac around 10% of the market and Windows around 90% (See links below)

If you define the market as the quality end of computer sales ($1000 and up), which Apple targets, then Apple has around 91% of the market. (See links below)

Windows or apple?

It really depends on what you are going to be using it for. If you want to do gaming, business, heavy audio/video editing, go for Windows. If you are more interested in fun, pretty long battery life, communications, go with Apple. I have owned both Windows (10 years) and Apple (5 years). After switching to an iMac computer I would never, ever, go back to Windows. Mac OSx is better suited to Video editing than Windows. Graphic artists most often use Mac instead of Windows. In the 5+ years I have had this iMac I have had not one single glitch of any kind. I do not and never have ran any security software on my Mac. There are more games created for Windows than Mac but there are plenty out there for the Mac. Mac OSx is very easy to learn and use. It is fast, stable, and just works. IMHO, if you want the very best computer experience you can buy then get yourself a Mac. You will not be disappointed.
