What kind of motherboard would a Gateway computer from 1998 have?

Depending on it's size, it would likely have either an ATX or microATX motherboard.

When a computer is being built which three components must have the same form factor (Choose three.)?

The case, motherboard, and power supply must all be the same form factor. Obviously the motherboard and the case would have to be the same or the motherboard would never fit in the case. Then the power supply must not only fit in the case, but have the same connectors as the motherboard. Otherwise it won't work.

Can you install a 800MHz CPU into a 120MHz Pentium 1?

No. There is no possible upgrade for a computer with a 120 MHz Pentium to an 800 MHz processor. You couldn't even replace the motherboard, as the case would not support newer motherboards (AT/Baby AT vs. ATX/microATX)

What are the three most popular form factors used for the motherboard?

ATX and MicroATX (aka uATX) are the two most common but if you look for a third that you will frequently run across, it would be mini-ITX for the small-form-factor style of machines. I don't sell many of the mini-ITX designs through my store as most people who buy from me tend to prefer the larger, more flexible build designs. It all depends on what you require, however.

What would happen if the dimensions of a cone doubled?

If the dimensions of a cone are doubled, both its height and radius increase by a factor of two. As a result, the volume of the cone, which is calculated using the formula ( V = \frac{1}{3} \pi r^2 h ), would increase by a factor of eight, since volume is proportional to the cube of the dimensions. The surface area would also increase, but by a smaller factor of four, as surface area scales with the square of the dimensions. Thus, the cone would become significantly larger in both volume and surface area.

In what type of system would it be recommended to use a Mini ITX motherboard form factor?

The Mini ITX motherboard is only used within one computer system. It is used for small form factor or SFF computer systems. It enables an infinite development amount of SFF computer systems.

Is it possible to take an old computer let's say an optiplex gx150 remove the hardware RAM processor unit harddrive video card etc and replace it with today's CPU hardware?

The Dell OptiPlex GX150 motherboard would not support anything remotely modern in the way of RAM or a CPU. A higher capacity IDE drive may be possible, but because of the age of the system, the BIOS likely will not allow more than 127 GB of any drive to be usable. Similarly, a newer AGP card may be possible, but the performance would be limited due to the slower speed of the AGP bus on the motherboard. Not to mention that, if you have one of the slimline models, you would have to find an appropriately sized card. The motherboard would be nearly impossible as well. The Optiplex models use a proprietary form factor, not a standard one like ATX or microATX. So upgrades can only be purchased from Dell.

How do you buy motherboard?

I would recommend googling the the number on the old motherboard.

How much memory can a motherboard hold?
