A taskbar typically consists of several key components: the Start button, which provides access to programs and system settings; the quick launch area for frequently used applications; the open application buttons that show currently running programs; and the system tray, which displays system notifications and quick access icons for settings like volume and network. Additionally, the taskbar may include a clock and other indicators for system status. Users can customize the taskbar by pinning apps or changing its position on the screen.
