To be a flight attendant, you have to look the part. You have to look clean and tidy, and have good personal hygiene. This may differ depending on the airlines.

Hair has to be tied back on the collar line, e.g. bun, French roll or French braid, covered ponytail band. No 'wispy bits' flying around, and looking stylish and attractive.

Makeup should be a FULL corporate makeup. You're always aiming to look your most attractive without looking too 'made up'.

Jewellery Minimum jewellery. Stud earrings, ie not larger than ten cent coin. Only one earring in each ear. Watch has to be business, no sport watches. One simple ring on each hand. Classic gold chain or strands of pearls. No facial piercings.

Shoes should be court shoes. Low to medium heel (e.g. 2.5-3.5 cm) No boots, and can be Navy, black or brown leather, and must be clean and polished. No sandals or 'peep' toes or sligbacks.

Nails must be well manicured. French manicure is common, or nail polish that matches your lipstick color. It should be a practical length (cut down very long acrylic nails).

Handbag should be small, well polished, a natural color. It should be leather, and not overfilled.

Perfume. Avoid the strong, overpowering types. Choose a light one and apply sparingly.

Glasses. If you're wearing glasses, it must be acceptable. You must provide an optometrist report with application form. NO sunglasses or tinted glasses indoors.
