I have no idea why you would ask this question. For windows, windows explorer is the built-in file browser. For mac, finder is the default file browser. As for linux.... if you've already installed it on your computer then you probably would have sufficient knowledge. Maybe you should word it differently?
No gmail does not use the term tables for default mail folders. It uses the term Labels for it. Labels are the folders or default folders that are present in it.
To access your locked folders after upgrading to Windows 10, you'll need to reinstall the Lock-A-Folder app. Ensure you install the same version that was used on Windows 7, as compatibility may vary. After reinstalling the app, you should be able to unlock the folders using the original password or key. If that doesn't work, you may need to look for backup solutions or data recovery tools.
To lock folders and files in Windows XP, 7 or other systems, there are built-in features. You can lock your folders and files with your Windows login password by this method. Since it is locked with your system password, it is not portable and is not as secure as you might expect. I think that's why you ask for some software here. A third-party folder lock software will be very helpful. I usually use Advanced Folder Encryption since it can lock folders in both my hard drive and USB drives.
No. Certain files are hidden by default. You can reveal them by opening any folder, clicking on tools, folder options. View Options, view hidden files and folders.
Only the files and programs that users specify are available offline
The samba software package implements the netbios protocol which is used by Microsoft Windows Lan Manager under TCP/IP to share files. Samba is open software and available free for non-windows platforms such as linux, unix and OpenVMS. Properly configuring samba makes Unix folders appear as shared folders on a Windows system.

In a Windows environment, the operating system is located on the C drive in the system folders. It can be manually installed somewhere else if desired.
In Windows 7, a collection of folders can be organized into conveniently accessed shortcuts known as a "Library." Libraries allow users to group related folders together, making it easier to manage and access files from different locations in a unified view. Users can create custom libraries or use the default ones provided by the system.
Best way is to use special file management application. In some version of Windows it is called Windows Explorer. You can also use thirdparty software like Total Commander.
In most newer computers, Windows features pre-loaded drive backup software. In Vista, this is located in the Backup and Restore Center. It allows users to create a copy of all files and folders currently loaded on the computer.
