Advantages of photo editing are the ability to correct issues with a photo, and the ability to change backgrounds and do other fun things with pictures. Disadvantages to photo editing is that it gives people the ability to take a persons picture and change it. Someone can make fake photos of people doing things that have not really been done.

Price is only disadvantage, advantage? You can use it for almost everything except mathematical formulas. You can use Photoshop and for everyday photo corrections- if that's your goal then you can try Photoshop Elements which are much chipper.

Depending on which version you get the answers vary, but first of all it is pretty expensive especially if you use a MAC. That is the only downside I have, upside: It is brilliant for editing photo's, doing graphic design etc. I could go on but these are only opinions I suggest you maybe look at some videos on it maybe.

Advantage is that you can do almost anything you can imagine and can find explanation and tutorials for everything at internet, disadvantage is that you need time to master skills
