All of these are connected to the motherboard:
CPU
Hard Drives
CD/DVD optical disc drive
Graphics Card
You can also argue that the power supply is plugged into the motherboard to supply power to it
A microprocessor is plugged into a socket on a motherboard, which serves as the main circuit board of a computer or electronic device. The motherboard connects the microprocessor to other components, such as memory, storage, and input/output devices, allowing for communication and data processing. Additionally, the microprocessor is powered through the motherboard, enabling it to perform its computational tasks.
plugged into motherboard
The system will be able to support 4 EDIE devices, 2 devices per cable.
That refers to the place where the CPU is plugged in.
up to two
NO my dear
there is only 1 processing device the CPU.......
assuming the older mother board has similar sockets and slots for your current devices parts (and your motherboard supports those devices) you should have no problem downgrading
All the devices in your computer go through your motherboard. Excluding things such as fans and lights, which apon occasion do.
If im reading the question right the answer is 4 and only four as that is how many devices you can have on two connection (or two on each cable master and slave)
hub
The Motherboard functions as the main circuit board that connects and communicates to all the devices and components attached in the computer. The motherboard facilitates the communication of devices with each other.
