That question can be answered several ways depending on how you wish to connect the PC's.
If you plan to go from one PC directly to another PC, you'll want to use what is called a Crossover cable (typically made out of Cat5e network cable). You can also use other cables to accomplish this if you know what you're doing, such as Firewire or even USB.
If you plan to use a switch or router in between your PC's, you will need a straight cable which is also Cat5e.
