L1 and L2; Many years ago L1 was the only cache memory integrated into the CPU (processor) and L2 had to be added to the motherboard. Currently (as of year 2013), CPUs implement both L1 and L2 cache in the casing of the processor. Thus, processors (CPUs) ship with amounts of L2 cache independent for each processor core.
Cache memory is not on the motherboard, it is inside the microprocessor chip so that it is as close as possible to the CPU itself.
The only memory on the CPU is cache memory and it is only dependent on the CPU type and generation you use.
Fast access memory which is inside the actual CPU chip.
There are different type of cache memory: processor cache memory, cache memory ram,1 cache memory l2, cache memory, CPU cache memory, disk cache memory, hard disk cache, cache memory motherboard.
Many CPUs have what is known as a CPU cache. The function of this CPU cache is to speed up access to data.
Cache memory is the high speed memories which are repeatedly requested by the Cache client (CPU). Whenever the requested data from the cpu is present in the cache, it directly supply the data and is known as cache hit(fast) and when the data is not accessible in cache then cache access the block of the main memory and feed to the CPU and it is termed as cache miss (slow).
The component inside the CPU that acts like RAM is the cache memory. Cache is a small, high-speed storage area located within or very close to the CPU, designed to temporarily hold frequently accessed data and instructions. It allows for faster data retrieval compared to accessing the main RAM, thereby improving overall processing speed and efficiency. Cache memory typically comes in multiple levels (L1, L2, and L3) with varying sizes and speeds.
There are different type of cache memory: processor cache memory, cache memory ram,1 cache memory l2, cache memory, CPU cache memory, disk cache memory, hard disk cache, cache memory motherboard.

Constantly needed data is stored in RAM, and depending on the system and the CPU used, it may be stored in cache memory. Cache memory is a special, high-speed type of RAM. It is more expensive and uses more current than DRAM, but it is used where speed is critical. Cache memory is generally inside of the CPU these days.
cache is the type of memory within the CPU. It is extremely fast and is very small storage wise (it only comes in megabytes)
By a chip's proximity to the CPU.
