The only thing that pinging the local loopback adapter on a host will prove is that the TCP/IP stack is installed and operating correctly. It will not diagnose a faulty NIC.
Successfully pinging the loopback address verifies that TCP/IP is installed and configured correctly on the local client.
I assume when you say "Pinging Address" you mean the IP Address? If that's the case, the majority of printers with this capability have a way to print out a Network Configuration Page, the IP Address will be displayed on that page. What type of printer is it?
It depends on whatever IP address did you ping.
IP addresses that have 127 in the first octet (for example 127.0.0.1) are reserved for loopback addresses, meaning that they point back to the local computer. For example, if I ping 127.0.0.1 from my computer, I will get a reply from my own computer. This works with any IP address beginning with 127. For example pinging 127.34.100.12 (last three octets can be any number between 0 and 255) pings my local computer as well.
The IP Address identifies a PC on a network. Source: I am an IT student in College :)
Nope ! Not all nics are pingable. It may also happen the same nic is not pinging , Which was pinging earlier. Nope ! Not all nics are pingable. It may also happen the same nic is not pinging , Which was pinging earlier.

Pinging is to determine and diagnose the quality of your internet connection. It's a tool to send out packets of data to a host (the IP OR web address) and wait for the traffic to return. The results of the ping will inform you how many packets were sent, were received, and if any, were lost, and the time it took for the round trip in milliseconds.Anyone can conduct a ping and sometimes it's fun. Just click the start menu, type CMD, then type Ping www.Google.comthe results will appear in a second or so.You can compare it to a submarine pinging for nearby ships - in fact that's where the term came from! :-)
Absolutely!
It is a sound that goes 'ping!'
It senses preignition or pinging and adjust ignition and sometimes fuel/air to prevent it. Pinging is the sound you get when driving a standard up a hill in to tall of a gear
