No, line break characters do not print as a thin horizontal line. Instead, they serve as formatting cues that indicate where a new line of text should begin. When printed, they simply create a break in the text without any visible character or line appearing on the page.
Automatic Page Break
Line break characters do not print visible characters themselves; instead, they signal where a line should end and a new line should begin in text. When you include a line break character (like \n in many programming languages) in a string, it causes the output to move to the next line, but the line break itself is not displayed. Therefore, while they affect the formatting of the text output, they do not produce visible marks in the printed result.

If you are referring to the right angle arrow at the end of a line, it indicates a line break. It still maintains the text as a single paragraph, so it is useful for formatting things like addresses. You get it by pressing Shift - Enter and it is only seen when the hidden characters are shown. It does not show in a printed document. It is also a feature in earlier versions of Microsoft Word.
