The answer given below is very incomplete and not entirely accurate, so I will explain more fully.

To start, the print job that is sent to the printer is converted into a digital image that is fed to the laser assembly. This causes the printer to scan its beam back and forth across the surface of the image drum so as to give it a minor positive charge where there is to be toner. The drum then passes through the toner reservoir in which the toner is negatively charged. The toner then sticks to the positively charged areas of the image. While all this is going on, the paper is being fed from the paper tray and across either a corona wire or, more commonly, the charging roller. (This is the foam roller in the first part of the paper path. Do not touch this with your bare hands because the oils from your hands will disrupt its ability to hold its static charge and transfer it to the paper, thus causing print quality problems). As the paper passes under the image drum, the drum rotates so that each part of the paper receives the image intended for it. This is achieved by the paper having a stronger positive charge than the image drum and, thus, the toner is more strongly attracted to it. After this, the paper continues to move through the printer into the fusing assembly (sometimes simply referred to as the fuser). This is the heat-producing part located toward the back of the printer. With its optimal temperature of about 350 degrees Fahrenheit (about 177 degrees Celsius), it melts the dry plastic powder that is the toner and bonds it to the paper. At this point, the paper is finally ready for expulsion and is fed to the output assembly and falls into the output tray, ready for your review and use.

A printer that creates images using a laser beam and powder ink what is this ink called?

The ink used in printers that create images with a laser beam and powder is called toner. Toner is a fine powder made primarily of plastic particles, carbon, and coloring agents. It is used in laser printers and photocopiers to produce text and images on paper through a process of electrostatic charge and heat.

How can air be ionized using a laser?

Air can be ionized using a laser by focusing a high-intensity laser beam on the air molecules, which causes them to lose electrons and become positively charged ions. This process is known as laser-induced breakdown and creates a plasma of ionized air.

How does a confocal laser microscope work?

A confocal laster microscope works by using optical sectioning, whereby the laser acquires different images and they are put back together to produce one image on a computer. This process enables a much more intricate finished image.

What is the laser printer used for'?

Printing :) Inkjet printers use ink to make a hard copy of what you send to the printer electronically. Laser printers use something called toner. Toner is basically a powdered version of ink that is applied to paper using a laser. Laser printers are much faster than inkjet, but the quality is generally not good with pictures.

Can you use powdered sugar in frosting instead of white sugar?

Yes, you can use powdered sugar in frosting instead of white sugar. In fact, powdered sugar is often preferred for frostings because it dissolves easily and creates a smooth texture. Just be aware that using powdered sugar will result in a sweeter frosting, so you may need to adjust the amount to suit your taste.
