Use a startup dish from windows 98 or ME and once loaded type in Fdisk, this will show the partations on the drive, remove everything and exit, install floppy again and type in Fdisk and partation the drive. Fdisk is basically self explanatory. A lot of older BIOS' will not read the new large drives correctly. You might have to use an overlay, (software that comes with new drives) If you know who made your motherboard go to the website and check the specs. You could add another IDE controller card (most of them have their own BIOS function and do the translation so your BIOS can read the drive) I hope this helps
