An input is an external device that sends information to the computer, such as a mouse, keyboard, etc. An output is something that displays information from the computer itself, such as headphones or a monitor. RAM stands for Random Access Memory. It is a temporary computer storage device, i.e. all data stored in RAM will be erased after the computer is switched off. All data to be processed is first copied into RAM. For example, when you start an application it is copied into the RAM from your harddisk. Similarly, if you enter any data into the computer it is sent to the RAM.

Random Access Memory (RAM) is the volatile memory that you use when you are using a computer. Unless you save your work to the computer's hard drive (or to other types of external device) before switching off, any unsaved data in the RAM is lost.
RAM stands for Random Access Memory. This memory is used by a computer or other electronic device when it is on to store things temporally. In most cases, the RAM is lost when the unit is powered off.
