To load a spreadsheet program file, open the application (like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) and use the "File" menu to select "Open," then browse to the desired file and click "Open." To exit the field on a ThinkPad, you typically press the "Esc" key to cancel the current operation or return to the previous menu. If you're in a specific application, you may need to use the application's designated exit command, often found in the File menu as "Exit" or "Close." Additionally, you can use "Alt + F4" to close the current window. If you're in the BIOS or boot menu, navigate to "Exit" using the arrow keys and select it to leave that interface.

To create as ASCII file use TextEdit (in the Applications folder). If you have the option to Make Plain Text in the Format menu select that. When saving the file use Save As... and from the Encoding drop down menu select ASCII - if it is not an option select Customize Encodings List and tick the ASCII box to add it to the menu.
When your in game, press start, this brings up the menu, select save and exit, this will bring you back to the starting menu.
