Information in large computer networks often gets sent over several "hops" - each hop is a router or server, or some equipment with similar capabilities. The "next hop" simply tells you where an information packet will be sent next - say, to which router. This router must then again decide where the information is to be sent.Information in large computer networks often gets sent over several "hops" - each hop is a router or server, or some equipment with similar capabilities. VoIP works on telephone or cellphone connected to the internet and computer. It uses internet networks and not telephone networks.
Protocols are the set of rules to regulating the procedure of communication over computer networks.
You need protocols in computer networks because computer networks consist of devices and software made by many different vendors. The only way to ensure compatibility among them all is to have common documents (i.e. the protocol specifications) that describe the mechanics and formats of all the data exchanged over the network.
who made the internet? The Internet is made up of thousands of computer networks that are connected (networked) to each other. These connected computer networks are using the communication method called TCP/IP. The internet is a collection of computers or networks world-wide. These computers or networks are linked all over the universe using telephone lines, microwave and satellite. The Internet is not controlled by any organisation. However there are various organisations whose major functions include making suggestions abd giving information. The Internet is basically kept under control by self policing, good manners and esteem for others.
The x and y intercepts are where a line on a graph intersects (crosses over) the x or y axis.
Internet is a network that links computer networks all over the world by satellite and telephone, connecting users with a service networks such as e-mails and other websites.
Telephone conversations carried over the Internet or local networks is commonly transmitted through a protocol known as Voice over Internet Protocol, often abbreviated as VOIP or VoIP.

Internet Protocol, IP, is a data oriented protocol used for communicating data across a packet switched internetwork. It is one of the main components of our ability to connect to the internet. The most current and popular network layer protocol is IPv4.
