mb/s = million bits per second
The internet speed is measured in Mbps (megabytes per second); the higher the value, the faster the internet access speed.
Assuming you're talking about internet speeds... the global average at the time of answering is... 26.48 Mb/s. My provider gives me an (almost) constant speed of 54 Mb/s
It depends on what megabytes you are talking about. If you are talking about RAM memory, then 256 Megabytes should be more than enough for internet usage. You can even use just the internet with just 128 megabytes of RAM but less than that, computer will begin to drag and slowdownIf you are talking about hard disk memory, then atleast 8000 megabytes (8 GB) or more is required in your C drive to ensure that you dont run out of disk space to store the temporary files created while browsing the internet
An Internet connection speed that is 512 MB means that you can receive up to 512 megabits of data per second. This speed would be best suited to someone who does not use the Internet a lot.
if you are talking memory, probably cant at all if you are talking disk space, probably cant even turn on your computer if you are talking connection speed probably indefinitly or until your computer dies or the internet ceases to exist. it will just be slower than most high speed connection bust still faster than dialup
MB stands for mobile broadband. Mobile broadband is used in cell phones, and refers to the high-speed internet capacity. 3G is a type of mobile broadband that describes how fast the internet speed is.
Internet speed is measured in Mbits not Megabytes. For example, I have a 10Mbps line and I achieve 1.2mB download speed because it's Megabits not Megabytes. 8 bits to the BYTE you do the math.
Depends on your regional bandwidth that is available. In some areas Comcast is faster than other ISP's ... in other areas it is not as fast. if you live in a DOCSIS 3.0 updated area and subscribe to the normal performance internet you will receive 12 mbs down and 3 up. non DOCSIS 3.0 area performance internet is 6mbs down. economy tier internet from Comcast is 1 mbs down. comcast also sells internet speed up to 50 mbs
Depending on the speed of your Internet, a 5615 Mb file will take on average 50 minutes to download.
"Roadrunner claims to have a standard download speed of 7 MB per second on its broadband network. The internet speed of a specific company varies depending on the package you purchase, often ranging between 1 and 15 MB per second. Roadrunner's broadband falls halfway in this range, at an average speed for comparable service and pricing."
A good quality MP3 file typically uses about one megabyte per minute - but large variations are possible.
There are different types of internet connections which vary in speed. LAN (local area network) can either be wired or wireless and varies in speed from 10-1000 mb/s. Dial up is wired and the max speed is 56 mb/s. Broadband has many different varieties, both wired and wireless, and Comcast falls under this category (cable modems). Comcast has speeds of up to 800 mb/s, making it one of the fastest cable internets available. However, there are many factors to consider when thinking of internet speed-upload speed, download speed, and the number of devices being supported.
