Auto fill, or auto complete, is a preference that a user can use that allows the web browser to remember what info you type into forms, so that when you come to a similar one, it will automatically fill it in for you.
For example, if you are commonly purchasing stuff online, and are tired of entering you address every time, the browser auto fill option can remember your address and fill it out for you, usually with a click of the button.
Every web browser has different auto fill options, but most require an additional addon, such as RoboForms.

AutoFill may work inconsistently due to various factors, such as the website's design or implementation, which can affect how data is recognized. Additionally, browser settings, stored data, or form fields not being properly labeled can hinder AutoFill's functionality. In some cases, if a form requires specific input formats or validation, AutoFill might not populate the fields correctly. Lastly, clearing browser cache or cookies can also disrupt AutoFill's ability to recall previously saved information.
