Stellarium is a free open source computer program for Windows/Mac and Linux.

It allows you to set your location and view the "sky" as seen from outside, while staying nice and warm inside.

It has the other major benefit, that if used outside, you can identify any star, or stellar object by name of catalogue number, giving it's distance and magnitude.

It has had many a good review and recommendations from other Wiki users.
