A Menu, simply means 'A list of options'.
With regards to computer applications, a menu is a small list of options that you can choose to perform within the application.
For example, If you use Microsoft Word, and you click on the "File" button on the top left of your screen, it will drop down a "Menu" of options for you to choose from.
Also it could be a presentation of a list of choices: It has a way for the user to pick from the choices: they may be numbered, so the user can type in the number, or maybe the user can just click with a mouse, or push the touch screen or another way.
Here's an example: an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is run by a computer software. It displays a menu after the user swipes the card and enters the PIN. {Well usually the first menu you will see is English or Spanish, which may be even before you put the card in}.
The menu items to choose from may be: Account Balance, Withdraw Money, Fast Cash, Transfer money, deposit money. These can lead to other menus to step the user through the process.

if the screen was locked from the menu and you forgot the code then all you need to do is plugg it onto your computer. That will unlock the screen.
To turn off an Apple computer click on the Apple menu icon (top left corner of screen) and select Shut Down... from the menu.

Each type of monitor is different. If there is a menu button on it, or a symbol that looks like a sheet of paper with writing on it, push it. It should give you a menu and someplace there is an option to adjust the size of the screen and the centering.
A screenshot on a Windows XP computer may be done by pressing the 'Print Screen' button, or on a Windows 7 computer by navigating to Start Menu > Accessories > Snipping Tool in addition to the 'Print Screen' function.
