This is caused by a failure or malfunction in the USB controller chip. It causes the Memory chip to not be read by the operating system as a storage space, appearing only as an empty "removable disk" like a floppy drive with no disk in it.
Generally no fix for this, return under warranty. Some usb sticks will have this problem intermittently at first...take a tip....get your data off!
Yes.
In relation to what? They will become cheaper. USB pricing will remain the same, this would have no effect on the price of flash memory.
Compact Disc-Read Only Memory (CD-ROM) drives use laser beams to read information on a rotating synthetic disk.
Permanant information is stored in hard drives, usb drives, cds, dvds and the temporary information is stored in RAM (Random Access Memory).
Read/write memory is memory that can be read and can be changed.
Yes. Flash drives work just as well in reading memory as a CD or your hard drive. Plus, flash drives have a tendency to read faster than hard drives, so it may load faster.
The 5 types are: SIMM DIMM SODIMM SORIMM RDRAM The basic types are volatile memory such as RAM memory and 'permanent' memory such as hard drives USB, external drives and CD/DVDs
Compact Disc-Read Only Memory
Its a memory that can be read and changed
