Token Ring
token ring uses a physical star and a logical ring ,while FDDI uses a physical star/ring and a logical ring.
Token ring is a loacal area network technology. It is limited in ldistance by its physical layer connection requirements.
Token Ring is described by the IEEE 802.5 standard. This standard defines the physical and data link layers for Token Ring networks, which use a token-passing protocol for controlling access to the network. Token Ring networks typically operate at speeds of 4 Mbps or 16 Mbps and utilize a star topology with a token that circulates around the network to manage data transmission.
Physical and Data link layers
The token of the covenant in the Bible was circumcision, which symbolized the covenant between God and Abraham and his descendants. It was a physical sign of the commitment to follow God's laws and be set apart as His chosen people.

IEEE 802.3 is the standard for Ethernet LAN. It is a collection of IEEE standards for physical layer and Data link layer's MAC sublayer. According to these standards, the Ethernet LAN card works. IEEE 802.4 is a Token Bus standard which was standardised by IEEE. It grants the Bus physical topology to use token messages to access physical layer.

Token creatures are temporary creature cards created by spells or abilities in the game. They do not have a physical card in the deck and are represented by tokens such as dice or markers. Token creatures can attack, block, and have abilities like regular creatures, but they cannot be returned to hand or deck. They are usually used to provide additional creatures on the battlefield for strategic advantage.
