In terms of downloading from torrent sites and the like a Seed is someone who has the whole file and is allowing others to download from their computer, a Peer is someone who is downloading the file as you are. Peers are also usually seeds as well as you share the chunks of files you have already downloaded, the term "Seed" is usually only applied to those with the whole file avalable.
seed is someone that has 100% of the file and is offering it to those that want to download it peer is someone that has a portion of the file and is offering what they have to others while still trying to download the rest leech is someone with an unknown amount of the file and not offering to share what they have (worst kind as they dont increase your download speeds)
The term bear share is defined as a peer-to-peer sharing application that can be used to exchange downloads or information through a seed based network.
Although torrents and peer to peer file sharing is not illegal, many torrent services have copyrighted materials that are being shared. Some of the top torrent services contain copyrighted materials. These include: The Pirate Bay, Seed Peer, Torlock, and H33T.
