Why is it that according to XSoftSpy but none other I am infected with aboutblank but I don't seem to be affected by hijacking of homepages in any way?

How do you remove aboutblank page?
Sometimes after a reset upon a new install with a virus or new update the URL Line shows aboutBlank. All you have to do is:PC Internet Explorer: Preferences / Internet options under the first box where it has URL: You need to replace what is in there with a new First Page like google.com or yahoo.com or whatever you want your first page to be.Hit Apply and exit out of the screen. Then exit out of the Internet. Not minimizing but actual closing by clicking on the X top right corner. Open up internet again and it is all fixed.Chrome: Three Bars on the far right show up. Click on the 3 bars. Click on SettingsSecond Line down is On Startup. Open Specific Pages and change the content inside. Exit out of the window and close own Chrome and restart it.
