Voltage Voltage
Voltage.
"Potential difference" or "Voltage".
sorry
What is voltage what is another name for voltage? That is potential difference. In physics, the potential difference or p.d. between two points is the amount of work that would need to be done on a unit electric charge to move it from one point to the other against an electric field. P.d. is synonymous with voltage and is measured in volts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potential_difference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voltage Cheers ebs
series other name current series and parallel is voltage
voltage
It is another way of saying "Apply a voltage" or "supply (something) with a voltage"
In power systems, there are 3 types of buses: swing bus, load bus and voltage controlled bus. PV bus is another name for voltage controlled bus.
Electromotive force (EMF) is another name for voltage in a circuit. It represents the energy per unit charge provided by a source, such as a battery, to drive the electric current through a circuit.
EMF is electromotive force. It is another name for voltage. Voltage is electric potential in joules per coulomb. Current is electric flow, in amperes. Amperes are coulombs per second. Voltage and current are not the same thing, and "emf current", or "voltage current" does not make sense.
Another name for average voltage is the RMS (Root Mean Square). This is a voltage derived from the peak to peak voltage multiplied by .707. If the peak to peak voltage is 170 volts then the average voltage (RMS) would be 170 x .707 = 120 volts.
