Same as duplex radio comms, where there are several stations on the network at the same time, except telegraphy usually refers to landline communications. ie: several telegraphic operators transmitting to each other, on the same frequency, at the same real-time.
CAN is half-duplex. One differential pair means one message at a time.

TCP is usually used as full duplex, but in some case, half duplex can also be used in TCP.
Full Duplex
The plural of "duplex" is "duplexes."
A duplex outlet is 115vac.
Duplex cross joint
Rahmat khairkhwa Half-duplex Ethernet operates in a shared collision domain. Half-duplex Ethernet has lower effective throughput.
The technical term 'wireless telegraphy' has two distinct senses:1: Where 'wireless' is an adjective qualifying the word 'telegraphy', meaning the kind of telegraphy that uses transmission by radio signals instead of over wires;2: Where 'wireless telegraphy' is a noun phrase, meaning the use of radio signals to send telegraphic messages, usually by Morse code.
A simple duplex is a channel through which data is transmitted and it can either be half or full duplex. Half duplex means that data can be sent or received but not at the same time while full duplex means that this can happen simultaneously.
Full duplex has the highest throughput concering communication.
