.png is the default extension of an Ms-paint file
.bmp, by default, as in bitmap.
There is no specific file extension for MS-DOS. Files can have any 3 character extension in MS-DOS.
1. Open the .JPG in MS Paint 2. Go To File --> Save As... 3. From the drop down menu select the ".PNG" extension. 4. Click the Save button
MS Word 2007 uses a .docx extension by default.
The extension of any application is always ".exe". Perhaps what you were getting at is how to run MS Paint via command line? In that case hold the WIN key + R and type "mspaint". MS Paint is capable of saving in any format including .jpg, .gif, .png, ect., but it defaults to .bmp unless otherwise specified. Hope this helped. ☺
