In Microsoft Excel, the data stays in the cell where it was entered. If that cell is referenced by an external source, it will also be copied to that external source. The location cannot be determined from Excel, only from the external source.

An external source is any source or firm outside of your own business from which you may seek services. An example of an external source for info relating to data protection would be any data protection agency or the Information Commissioner's Office.
An external source of data is a connection to an external data base and contains data that does not change much. The difference of internal source of data is data that can change because it comes from sources inside an organization including inventory transactions, purchase orders, and sales.
A couple of options are to type the data into a form or import from an external source.
