USB 2.0
All of the USB devices themselves as Hi-speed. USB 3.0, is the recent hi-speed USB.
A high-speed USB (2.0) has a raw data rate at 480Mbps, and it is rated 40 times faster than 1.1.
High Speed usb is 2.0 now some comptuer have a 2.0 speed usb port some are slower. So if it says "You have plugged in a highspeed usb to a slower port" Or w/e then that means it will just be slower. Newer / Old but expensive comptuers have high speed USB ports. Hope this helped
Hint hint... high speed
It is USB 2.0, the standard external data and power connection.
The top speed of USB 3.0 is 5 Gbps (gigabits per second). This standard, also known as SuperSpeed USB, allows for significantly faster data transfer rates compared to its predecessor, USB 2.0, which has a maximum speed of 480 Mbps. USB 3.0 achieves this increased speed through improved data encoding and more efficient use of bandwidth.
12 Mbps for original and 480 Mbps for high speed.Darryl Erickson
A USB host controller is a piece of hardware. It is usually incorporated into the southbridge in your motherboard. As such, it cannot be downloaded. If you want to upgrade a low-speed USB controller to a high speed controller you will have to buy a new high-speed controller. Changes are the old controller is not removeable and not upgradeable.
Super Speed USB is faster and is usually identified by a blue port or wire. Basically USB 2.0 is High Speed (480Mbps) and USB 3.0 Super Speed (5Gbps).
Up to 480Mbits/second, and being increased over time with improvements.
480 megabits/s
USB version 1.1( sometimes called Basic speed USB or Orginal USB) allows for two speesd,1.5 Mbps and 12 Mbps. USB version 2.0 (sometimes called hi-speed USB or USB2) allows for up to 480Mbps.
