Although the size, shape, and capabilities are different, their functions are all the same.

Mobile computers and cell phones contain a CPU, a graphics controller, a network (or wireless) communications controller, some kind of RAM, and a storage media of some sort (may be the same as RAM). A sound controlling device and some kind of speaker or buzzer. And an Input Device controller for touchscreens, keypads, or external peripherals.

The only real difference is that their capabilities are much more specific and much more narrow. Most mobile platforms use a RISC (Reduced Instruction Computer) based processor capable of FAR less than desktops (which are typically CISC- Complete instruction set computer). Most are also not x86 (Intel/AMD/Via), PowerPC (Apple/IBM), or Motorola (Apple) compatible.

Some may be quite powerful still, however, such as the case of Android and iPhone systems.

What are the four devices located under the cover of the system unit?

The four primary devices located under the cover of the system unit are the motherboard, power supply unit, storage devices (such as hard drives or SSDs), and the cooling system (including fans or heat sinks). The motherboard serves as the main circuit board, connecting all components and enabling communication between them. The power supply unit converts electrical power for use by the system, while storage devices provide space for data and programs. The cooling system helps maintain optimal temperatures to prevent overheating of the components.
