Process switch is switch the process state between the status like read, blocked ,suspend. Mode switch is the switch the process privilege between the mode like use mode, kernel mode. Generally a mode switch is considered less expensive compared to a process switch.
Inline is used to look at a specific location such as between two routers, where as promiscuous mode captures traffic using a capture device such as a hub or switch, this way all traffic that goes through the device is monitored.

The Hibernate mode saves your open documents and running applications to your hard disk and shuts down the computer. Switch user closes all the programs and directs you to the other account.
To switch modes on the DUO receivers, simply press the 'Mode' button that is on the front. There is an amber light that will move between two spots. Depending on the receiver, it will move between 'Dual' and 'Single', or between a picture of 1 tv and 2 TV's, one overlapping.

It requires a mode switch between user mode to kernel mode, so that required switching may be performed in right order.... Isn't it simple ,,or what.
